This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sofiane Benyoucef as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sofiane Benyoucef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reda Yahia in the 12th minute. Baddi Cherrad kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Sofiane Benyoucef made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Reda Yahia sent off a good shot on target. Driss Gaouaoui's late challenge caught a Hoddesdon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Driss Gaouaoui helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hoddesdon booed when Farnborough FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Driss Gaouaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Mustapha Matmour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farnborough FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoddesdon the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Farnborough FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hoddesdon:s goal. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Hoddesdon. Ramzi Mamouni stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abdelhani Larfaoui. 1-1. In the 31st minute, one of Farnborough FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Farnborough FC. In the 47th minute, Hicham Amrouche made a precise shot to the right of Abdelhani Larfaoui. Farnborough FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Ibrahim Ferrah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Reda Yahia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farnborough FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reda Yahia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sofiane Benyoucef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 98 in the game by Boussad Larfaoui from a close distance when the talented Abdelhani Larfaoui managed to make a qualified save. Farnborough FC's players were relieved. Although Farnborough FC had been in control for most of the match, Hoddesdon still came away with the win.
