Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 27 played minutes, Hoddesdon's Ramzi Mamouni shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adel Zarabi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hoddesdon reached it. Belkacem Bahari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mounir Messaoud took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sofiane Benyoucef. Hoddesdon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kateb Soltani took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sofiane Benyoucef. Sofiane Benyoucef dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Belkacem Bahari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Hoddesdon defense, Kateb Soltani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sofiane Benyoucef. The Hoddesdon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sofiane Benyoucef should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Kateb Soltani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sofiane Benyoucef was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belkacem Bahari in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sofiane Benyoucef saved Hoddesdon from getting behind. The supporters of Alger United booed when Hoddesdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madjid Kelkal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sofiane Benyoucef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belkacem Bahari in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hicham Amrouche was the one to do the kick off. When Hachem Douadi fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alger United's protests and gave Hachem Douadi a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Alger United got a freekick which was hit by Hachem Douadi. Hoddesdon's Sofiane Benyoucef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Hoddesdon from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Alger United's Belkacem Bahari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sofiane Benyoucef. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hicham Amrouche in the 71st minute of play forced Alger United's goalkeeper Adel Zarabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kateb Soltani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Belkacem Bahari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sofiane Benyoucef was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Hoddesdon's goalkeeper Sofiane Benyoucef had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kateb Soltani. The supporters of Alger United booed when Hoddesdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larbi Adjimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Boussad Larfaoui came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Hoddesdon fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to Alger United getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ifthen Fetani hit a great ball. Kateb Soltani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sofiane Benyoucef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Alger United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hoddesdon.
