Amzar Benzaghou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Badis Zouccal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramzy Kerfali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amzar Benzaghou having to interfere. Uttoxeter AFC's Badis Zouccal got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Badis Zouccal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Merdaci made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Hameur Belloumi sent off a good shot on target. Amzar Benzaghou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Badis Zouccal, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ramzy Kerfali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hameur Belloumi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Badis Zouccal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amzar Benzaghou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amzar Benzaghou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramzy Kerfali in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Badis Zouccal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Houghton Regis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yacine Cohen to maneuver through the defense. Yacine Cohen might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Merdaci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yacine Cohen ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yacine Cohen in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Merdaci saved Uttoxeter AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Uttoxeter AFC's zone, Hameur Belloumi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Merdaci came out of the goal and Hameur Belloumi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramzy Kerfali was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Badis Zouccal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hameur Belloumi took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Merdaci. Omar Merdaci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 72 minutes, Bouziane Yahia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uttoxeter AFC and the Houghton Regis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Uttoxeter AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bouziane Yahia to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
