After having played for 2 minutes, Khaled Kharroubi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heywood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khaled Kharroubi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Congleton getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Admer Merzekane hit a great ball. If Chams Nabil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Kasdi Hadfi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heywood and the Congleton players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the match, Congleton's goal looked a bit too open when Khaled Kharroubi came free, but Abdelkarim Ayachi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Congleton's zone, Khaled Kharroubi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelkarim Ayachi came out of the goal and Khaled Kharroubi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Congleton defense, Khaled Kharroubi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdelkarim Ayachi. The Congleton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdelkarim Ayachi should have stopped the shot. Chams Nabil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelkarim Ayachi having to interfere. If Chams Nabil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Chams Nabil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdelkarim Ayachi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Chams Nabil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelkarim Ayachi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khaled Kharroubi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Congleton's Abdelkarim Ayachi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khaled Kharroubi in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Congleton's goalkeeper Abdelkarim Ayachi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Zane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mansour Reddad having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chams Nabil to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Chams Nabil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heywood's supporters rose to their feet, but Chams Nabil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelkarim Ayachi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdelkarim Ayachi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chams Nabil, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Toufik Abbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelkarim Ayachi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khaled Kharroubi in the 62nd minute. Khaled Kharroubi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelkarim Ayachi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khaled Kharroubi went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Ali Zane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82nd play minutes Khaled Kharroubi shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Abdelkarim Ayachi and just under the crossbar into goal. If Chams Nabil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Congleton's goal looked a bit too open when Chams Nabil came free, but Abdelkarim Ayachi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
