Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yanis Zeghdoud started the match with the kick off. Azzad Cherif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yanis Zeghdoud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdessalem Aflelou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Faudel Ghennouchi made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Jussef Meriem notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Basingstoke's Azzad Cherif. Azzad Cherif was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Azzad Cherif came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Mablethorpe's Yanis Zeghdoud. But to his dismay, Yanis Zeghdoud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 29 minutes into the game, Basingstoke's Abdessalem Aflelou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faudel Ghennouchi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Yanis Zeghdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jussef Meriem came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mablethorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jussef Meriem couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Jussef Meriem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azzad Cherif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Yanis Zeghdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Basingstoke's goalkeeper Azzad Cherif had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jussef Meriem. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayan Moumen in the 59th minute of play forced Mablethorpe's goalkeeper Faudel Ghennouchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Otman Riyah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jussef Meriem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Azzad Cherif made a huge save. Rayan Moumen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Faudel Ghennouchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdessalem Aflelou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rayan Moumen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faudel Ghennouchi having to interfere. Azzad Cherif didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jussef Meriem went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Jussef Meriem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Azzad Cherif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanis Zeghdoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azzad Cherif having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Abdessalem Aflelou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basingstoke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdessalem Aflelou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdessalem Aflelou in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faudel Ghennouchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mablethorpe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
