After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Abdessalem Aflelou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basingstoke's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdessalem Aflelou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdul El Aychi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Yapton defense, Rayan Moumen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdul El Aychi. The Yapton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdul El Aychi should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
