Mansour Zaghidour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kassel Hadfi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Baligh Fadhil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rainhill's Kassel Hadfi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baligh Fadhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kassel Hadfi having to interfere. Knaresborough's Florian Bouraada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mourad Athbedj in the 25th minute of play. When Mourad Athbedj came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Rainhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mourad Athbedj couldn't finish the play. Knaresborough's Mansour Zaghidour got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Idriss Lagab kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mansour Zaghidour made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Rainhill's Mourad Athbedj made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florian Bouraada was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Razi Dib in the 60th minute really tested Kassel Hadfi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mourad Athbedj took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Bouraada. Florian Bouraada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 68th minute, Mourad Athbedj made a precise shot to the right of Florian Bouraada. Knaresborough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 74 minutes into the match, Knaresborough's Mansour Zaghidour sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kassel Hadfi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmed Korteby hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Mansour Zaghidour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Knaresborough booed when Rainhill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ketta Messaoudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Abed Yataghen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knaresborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Abed Yataghen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kassel Hadfi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes Rainhill got a freekick which was hit by Ketta Messaoudi. Knaresborough's Abed Yataghen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rainhill. For all the effort they put into the match, the Knaresborough players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rainhill.
