Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ali Taha got the match started through his kick off. Hocine Ahmed's late challenge caught a Sutton on Sea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdechahid Harkati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adil Saïd made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Hamid Sermadji sent off a good shot on target. Abdessatar Bendjedid hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The Ashtead fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Ashtead's Ali Taha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Azzouz Benikhlef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamid Sermadji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Adil Saïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adil Saïd was a little too slow when Ayachi Khaldi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-2. Adil Saïd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayachi Khaldi in the 28th minute of the match. Abdechahid Harkati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ayachi Khaldi was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Hamid Sermadji managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sutton on Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamid Sermadji was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Taha took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdechahid Harkati. Abdechahid Harkati dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Adil Saïd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ayachi Khaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ayachi Khaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ashtead's Abdessatar Bendjedid got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Hamid Sermadji came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sutton on Sea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Sermadji couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Azzouz Benikhlef managed to get in a good position for a shot.
