In the 11th minute Karim Mebtoul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmis Sadmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Formby United's zone, Mohand Kadri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmis Sadmi came out of the goal and Mohand Kadri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Formby United's Mebarek Bensari got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nadim Khabatou came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Formby United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nadim Khabatou couldn't finish the play. Mebarek Bensari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boughera Ihidjaten came out of the goal and Mebarek Bensari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes, Bassim Zidane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chorlton City and the Formby United players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mebarek Bensari made a kick off. Formby United's Ahmis Sadmi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Formby United from getting a goal against them. Mebarek Bensari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boughera Ihidjaten having to interfere. Mohand Kadri took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmis Sadmi. Ahmis Sadmi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mohand Kadri in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmis Sadmi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mebarek Bensari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boughera Ihidjaten having to interfere. Formby United's Ahmis Sadmi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Formby United from getting a goal against them. Mohand Kadri in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmis Sadmi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Boughera Ihidjaten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nadim Khabatou in the 85th minute of play. Nadim Khabatou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boughera Ihidjaten having to make a save. After 93 minutes of play, Formby United's Mebarek Bensari made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boughera Ihidjaten was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Formby United had played much better football throughout.
