Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Whitley Bay AFC's Sayed Meriem started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Kheireddine Akrour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madjer Arif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakim Mohamed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sayed Meriem in the 10th minute of play. Baligh Hadjadj hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Abid El Ouafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orsett City's Mahmoud Seghiri got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sayed Meriem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Madjer Arif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Mohamed having to interfere. Hakim Mohamed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sayed Meriem in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Kheireddine Akrour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daoud Halimi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Yunes El Ghazi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abid El Ouafi in the 31st minute. When Abid El Ouafi came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Orsett City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abid El Ouafi couldn't finish the play. Sayed Meriem struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Hakim Mohamed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitley Bay AFC. Hakim Mohamed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aghali Djenoui in the 46th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sayed Meriem in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Mohamed saved Orsett City from getting behind.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mahmoud Seghiri to make the kick off. Yunes El Ghazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abid El Ouafi in the 54th minute of the match. When Mahmoud Seghiri came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Orsett City fans jumped to their feet. Yunes El Ghazi came out of the goal and Mahmoud Seghiri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mahmoud Seghiri struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Yunes El Ghazi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orsett City. After some careless play in the Whitley Bay AFC defense, Abid El Ouafi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yunes El Ghazi. The Whitley Bay AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yunes El Ghazi should have stopped the shot. The corner led Orsett City's Fodil Larbi to fire away a dangerous shot which Yunes El Ghazi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Orsett City's Hakim Mohamed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Orsett City from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whitley Bay AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Orsett City.
