Ambrósio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tozé Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fábio Malheiro went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prudhoe's goalkeeper Simão Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tozé Almeida made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Fábio Malheiro sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Bowburn City's goalkeeper Tozé Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fábio Malheiro. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Tozé Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edmundo Lentilha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Edmundo Lentilha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Bastos. Prudhoe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Lentilha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. David Da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ambrósio Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bowburn City's Tozé Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ambrósio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute, Bowburn City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fábio Malheiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bowburn City's goalkeeper Tozé Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Lentilha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prudhoe's goalkeeper Simão Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If David Da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Edmundo Lentilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Edmundo Lentilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prudhoe's Simão Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Prudhoe's Simão Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Prudhoe from getting a goal against them. Simão Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Lentilha in the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Lentilha in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simão Bastos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Edmundo Lentilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Bastos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Savimbi in the 83rd minute of play forced Prudhoe's goalkeeper Simão Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudhoe's Simão Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Lentilha in the 88th minute of play. David Da Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Simão Bastos made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ambrósio Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prudhoe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrósio Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tozé Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Prudhoe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bowburn City's performance. The match ended with a win for Bowburn City.
