Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ambrósio Borges got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Toni Ericeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prudhoe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Valentes the free kick. Toni Ericeira kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Simão Bastos came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Valentes's Evaristo Zamora. But to his dismay, Evaristo Zamora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vítor Sá struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Simão Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Valentes. In the 11th minute, Evaristo Zamora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alda Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrósio Borges in the 15th minute of play. Alda Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrósio Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Ambrósio Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fábio Malheiro came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Prudhoe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Malheiro couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Evaristo Zamora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CF Valentes's Evaristo Zamora got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivó Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, CF Valentes's Marcelo Sá tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Zamora in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Bastos saved Prudhoe from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Sá got free with Simão Bastos in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Evaristo Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Valentes's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Zamora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
