With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Almedia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emílio Firmino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Hélio Nascimento skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Futebol Clube do Porto's Manuel Dos Santos got a free kick in the 70th minute. Luís Malheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
