Rui Rebello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avelino Caneças, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Jaka Jamba in the 10th minute of play forced Brierley Hill Uqewnited's goalkeeper Tiago Ericeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Teodoro Onas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Ericeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Jaka Jamba, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 16 minutes, Jorge Areosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brierley Hill Uqewnited and the Wymondhaq players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Brierley Hill Uqewnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Areosa to maneuver through the defense. Brierley Hill Uqewnited's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Rolando Jaka Jamba scored to the left of an out of position Tiago Ericeira, making the score, 1-0. Ivó Pepetela charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivó Pepetela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 28 minutes into the match, Wymondhaq's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Onas came free, but Rui Rebello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambrósio Clérigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tiago Ericeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Ericeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Avelino Caneças's late challenge caught a Wymondhaq's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avelino Caneças helped the player get up and apologised. Avelino Caneças kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Tozé Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Edmundo Malheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Avelino Caneças stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zé Dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Ericeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Jaka Jamba in the 57th minute of play. Tiago Ericeira came out of the goal and Pedro Amado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Wymondhaq's Ailton Duarte got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 86 played minutes, Brierley Hill Uqewnited's Avelino Caneças shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rui Rebello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brierley Hill Uqewnited reached it. When Flavio Malheiro came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Wymondhaq fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Malheiro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Wymondhaq booed when Brierley Hill Uqewnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wymondhaq's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
