An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Teive in the 59th minute of play forced Desert Fury's goalkeeper Hernani Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Nuno Ramos notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Weaverham's Emílio Serineu. Emílio Serineu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hernani Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Desert Fury supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Desert Fury would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
