Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Basil Qabi made the kick off which started today's match. Ivan Strauss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alpheus Mangope's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Simons Town's zone, Jeff Mfeke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Strauss came out of the goal and Jeff Mfeke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Kubheka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tebogo Bandura. FC Siphaqeni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeff Mfeke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Strauss having to interfere. Ivan Strauss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alpheus Mangope in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 30th minute Alpheus Mangope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Strauss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes in the game, Alpheus Mangope fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ivan Strauss having to interfere. Ivan Strauss came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Siphaqeni's Jeff Mfeke. But to his dismay, Jeff Mfeke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alpheus Mangope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basil Qabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, FC Siphaqeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Mayoyo to maneuver through the defense. When Basil Qabi came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Simons Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basil Qabi couldn't finish the play. Basil Qabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tebogo Bandura having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alpheus Mangope to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jeff Macheke managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Siphaqeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Macheke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Strauss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the game, Basil Qabi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tebogo Bandura. Basil Qabi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 89 minutes into the game, Jeff Mfeke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ivan Strauss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Promise Modise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeff Mfeke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Siphaqeni's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
