The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albert Makweni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Mkhwanazi in the 7th minute of play. Mungisi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Pakita Futebol Clube booed when Mungisi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mando Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Makweni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Mkhwanazi in the 17th minute of play. When Madolo Kolwa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mungisi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madolo Kolwa couldn't finish the play. Madolo Kolwa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddie Mangope having to make a save. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mungisi's goalkeeper Albert Makweni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathibela Shongwe in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Mangope saved Pakita Futebol Clube from getting behind. Delron Modise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joseph Mkhwanazi made a kick off. Delron Modise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Makweni having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pakita Futebol Clube defense, Madolo Kolwa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddie Mangope. The Pakita Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddie Mangope should have stopped the shot. Mathibela Shongwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Mangope having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Lungie King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Nomvete kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Mungisi's Ivan Thebe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pakita Futebol Clube. After having played for 81 minutes, Delron Modise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pakita Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delron Modise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pakita Futebol Clube's Freddie Mangope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madolo Kolwa in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Pakita Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Delron Modise hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Pakita Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wycliffe Josephs to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mathibela Shongwe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mungisi's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathibela Shongwe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie Mangope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute Mathibela Shongwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Mangope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delron Modise got free with Albert Makweni in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute of the match, Joseph Mkhwanazi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Albert Makweni saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Pakita Futebol Clube's zone, Mathibela Shongwe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Mangope came out of the goal and Mathibela Shongwe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mungisi had won after a very even match.
