Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mabusela Mhlathe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jason Liau came out and tried to block the shot, but Mabusela Mhlathe slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Kingston Serage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lazarus Mothobi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lazarus Mothobi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Komani in the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Mabusela Mhlathe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kingston Serage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nelson Komani, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lazarus Mothobi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Kingston Serage came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rivermead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kingston Serage couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kingston Serage in the 34th minute of play forced FC Steelpoort's goalkeeper Lazarus Mothobi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazarus Mothobi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Komani in the 35th minute of the match. Yacoob Fortuin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Kingston Serage might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lazarus Mothobi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kingston Serage ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucas Tau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Kingston Serage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivermead's supporters rose to their feet, but Kingston Serage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lazarus Mothobi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mabusela Mhlathe made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, FC Steelpoort's goalkeeper Lazarus Mothobi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Komani. Sanjay Strauss kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rivermead's Shumani Klein got a free kick in the 60th minute. Lazarus Mothobi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Komani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kingston Serage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lazarus Mothobi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, FC Steelpoort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sanjay Strauss to maneuver through the defense. Tebogo Modipa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Lazarus Mothobi made a huge save. Nelson Komani might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lazarus Mothobi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelson Komani ran back to his position shaking his head. Tebogo Modipa hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Steelpoort's Leon Shongwe tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nelson Komani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC Steelpoort's Eric Inguana in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rivermead's goalie prevented a goal. Nelson Komani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lazarus Mothobi having to interfere.
