Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nelson Komani made the kick off and thus started the match. Papi Melele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kingston Serage went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Shaheed Nomvete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silas Laher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jason Liau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Shaheed Nomvete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Liau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Bradley Thobejane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Komani in the 14th minute of play forced Dikgang's goalkeeper Papi Melele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rivermead's Nelson Komani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Papi Melele. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute Silas Laher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Liau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Shaheed Nomvete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dikgang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaheed Nomvete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dikgang's Papi Melele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Dikgang from getting a goal against them. Nelson Komani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rivermead's zone, Silas Laher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Liau came out of the goal and Silas Laher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 48 minutes, Thanyani King mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivermead and the Dikgang players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Thanyani King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Lindo Thompson got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 53rd minute, Lindo Thompson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kingston Serage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Papi Melele having to interfere. Jason Liau came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Dikgang's Silas Laher. But to his dismay, Silas Laher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jason Liau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Laher in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradley Thobejane during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Dikgang getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bradley Thobejane hit a great ball. Silas Laher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Nelson Komani made a precise shot to the right of Papi Melele. Dikgang's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Rivermead getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Francis Mbule hit a great ball. After 84 minutes, Shumani Klein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivermead and the Dikgang players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dikgang booed when Rivermead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shumani Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silas Laher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tebogo Modipa's late challenge caught a Dikgang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tebogo Modipa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, Rivermead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tebogo Modipa to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rivermead had won after a very even match.
