A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Soloman Shongwe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mlamli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parow Utd the free kick. A collision led to FC Mlamli getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Soloman Shongwe hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Okpara made a kick off. Mthunzi Mufumadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Konza in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, Parow Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Zwane to maneuver through the defense. Parow Utd's Anton Arendse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Parow Utd from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute FC Mlamli were awarded a corner. Eric Laher went to the cornerflag to take it. Freddie Konza hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. FC Mlamli's Eric Laher got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Freddie Konza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mthunzi Mufumadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Okpara, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Jason Fortuin had to leave the field with a concussion. 82 minutes into the game, Lucas Thebile was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
