Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cornell Liau started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, FC Mpangane's Cornell Liau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kingston Sewele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Allan Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noxolo Maduna hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Shaheed Madiya fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Mpangane's protests and gave Shaheed Madiya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, FC Mpangane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaheed Madiya to maneuver through the defense. Maxwell Mkhize hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Acornhoek's Allan Etafia got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jakob Sephadi fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Mpangane's protests and gave Jakob Sephadi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Acornhoek booed when FC Mpangane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Sephadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acornhoek's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mpenza Nunes in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes, William Pretorius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acornhoek and the FC Mpangane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Acornhoek got a freekick which was hit by William Pretorius. After a defensive mix-up in Acornhoek's zone, Jakob Sephadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kingston Sewele came out of the goal and Jakob Sephadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Allan Etafia made the kick off in the second half. When FC Mpangane's Rabelani Nkadimeng in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acornhoek's goalie prevented a goal. Shaheed Madiya got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 58 played minutes FC Mpangane got a freekick which was hit by Shaheed Madiya. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Etafia in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mawetu Setlaba saved FC Mpangane from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Rabelani Nkadimeng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kingston Sewele was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Acornhoek's zone, Rabelani Nkadimeng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kingston Sewele came out of the goal and Rabelani Nkadimeng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Allan Etafia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Mpangane's Mawetu Setlaba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mawetu Setlaba came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Acornhoek's Leon Kubheka. But to his dismay, Leon Kubheka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Allan Etafia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jakob Sephadi was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jakob Sephadi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 96th match minute, FC Mpangane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabelani Nkadimeng to maneuver through the defense. Acornhoek's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
