Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Soutpomp AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nick Shoba hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Avondrust's Enock Sephadi tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Soutpomp AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enock Madima came free, but Terence Makweni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nick Shoba kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Enock Madima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence Makweni having to interfere. If Samuel Maduna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yacoob Takane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terence Makweni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enock Madima in the 20th minute of play. Samuel Maduna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yacoob Takane had several of the Avondrust's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Francis Komani as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Samuel Maduna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avondrust's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Maduna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terence Makweni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Enock Madima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Oliver Tshabalala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yacoob Takane was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Enock Madima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Terence Makweni. The goal made the score 1-1. When Nelson Shoba fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avondrust's protests and gave Nelson Shoba a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Avondrust's Nelson Shoba got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Yacoob Takane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avondrust's Francis Komani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enock Madima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Terence Makweni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Enock Madima came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Avondrust fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enock Madima couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute Yacoob Takane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Komani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enock Madima was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Terence Makweni was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oliver Mkhize. Soutpomp AFC's Tyrell Bartlett got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Soutpomp AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enock Madima came free, but Terence Makweni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Avondrust's zone, Yacoob Takane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francis Komani came out of the goal and Yacoob Takane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avondrust were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
