Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Francis Patel made the kick off and thus started the match. When Francis Patel came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Qwakazana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francis Patel couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind BARKING BEARS's goalkeeper Jabu Khomane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vuyo Modipa during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vuyo Modipa kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Jabu Khomane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Patel in the 6th minute of play. Qwakazana's Nazeer Mandela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Webb in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kenny Zwane in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nazeer Mandela saved Qwakazana from getting behind. Harry Collins scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jabu Khomane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jabu Khomane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lindo Modise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, BARKING BEARS's Leslie Okpara got a free kick in the 21st minute. Henry Webb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nazeer Mandela came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by BARKING BEARS's Kenny Zwane. But to his dismay, Kenny Zwane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 32 minutes of play BARKING BEARS's Vuyo Modipa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to BARKING BEARS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Vuyo Modipa hit a great ball. BARKING BEARS's Jabu Khomane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save BARKING BEARS from getting a goal against them. If Francis Patel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, BARKING BEARS's Henry Webb made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nazeer Mandela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Webb was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Qwakazana's Lindo Mahlangu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Francis Patel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jabu Khomane having to interfere. Nazeer Mandela made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Henry Webb sent off a good shot on target. Jabu Khomane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lindo Modise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Collins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jabu Khomane having to make a save. Jabu Khomane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Patel in the 70th minute of the match. Henry Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazeer Mandela having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Henry Webb managed to get in a good position for a shot. BARKING BEARS's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Webb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazeer Mandela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Webb's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nazeer Mandela firmly grabbed it by the left post. BARKING BEARS's Jabu Khomane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Collins in the 92nd minute of play. Harry Collins struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jabu Khomane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qwakazana. If Francis Patel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BARKING BEARS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
