To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norman Mathibe in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Etienne Tau saved Buccaneers from getting behind. Norman Mathibe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Etienne Tau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Allan Shongwe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Shongwe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buccaneers's goalkeeper Etienne Tau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Shongwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Etienne Tau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Shongwe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39thth minute of the game Allan Shongwe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buccaneers's Etienne Tau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lesego Mbheki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aubrey Setlaba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Shumani Khomane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Etienne Tau was a little too slow when Norman Mathibe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-1. Buccaneers's Aubrey Setlaba got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blenheim's Shumani Khomane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lesego Mbheki in the 76th minute of play. When Allan Shongwe came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Blenheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Shongwe couldn't finish the play. Norman Mathibe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Etienne Tau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 86th minute, Norman Mathibe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Allan Shongwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Etienne Tau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etienne Tau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Shongwe, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
