After a rather tough play, KwaQukuswayo's Alpheus Komani got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Melele in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rabelani Khumalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dumisane King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thami Kanku charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thami Kanku the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, one of KwaQukuswayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KwaQukuswayo. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Evutha. Melusi Qabi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shaheed Ntsume. 1-0. A collision led to Evutha getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Melusi Qabi hit a great ball. Shaheed Ntsume acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Steve Fortuin. Charles Liau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Shaheed Ntsume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Melele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Charles Liau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alpheus Komani was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Evutha got a freekick which was hit by Meshack Tau. Rabelani Khumalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Melele in the 54th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Dumisane King had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shaheed Ntsume. KwaQukuswayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dumisane King was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the KwaQukuswayo defense, Charles Liau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shaheed Ntsume. The KwaQukuswayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shaheed Ntsume should have stopped the shot. Shaheed Ntsume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Liau, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Charles Liau struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Shaheed Ntsume didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Evutha. Tomas Melele in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Melele got free with Rabelani Khumalo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shaheed Ntsume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumisane King, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes, Evutha's Melusi Qabi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Shaheed Ntsume came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Evutha reached it. Tomas Melele came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rabelani Khumalo could save by the left post. Rabelani Khumalo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1.
