Johann Inguana might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesaire Sherwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Highlanders FC's protests and gave Petru Buculeasa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Huracán booed when Highlanders FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Buculeasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maiorga Trevijano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Delron Thembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Maiorga Trevijano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delron Thembe was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Highlanders FC's Freddie Tshabalala got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Maiorga Trevijano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delron Thembe, 3-0.

Maiorga Trevijano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delron Thembe having to interfere. When Maiorga Trevijano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. If Esteban Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute, Hanile Kekana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delron Thembe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Wanani in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Highlanders FC defense, Steve Wanani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delron Thembe. The Highlanders FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delron Thembe should have stopped the shot. Freddie Tshabalala kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Steve Wanani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Huracán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steve Wanani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Highlanders FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lesego Tembe to maneuver through the defense. Steve Wanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Buculeasa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
