The supporters of FK Humenné booed when Bretejovce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Nemešány didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavol Kučera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Adrian Spišiak fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Humenné's protests and gave Adrian Spišiak a yellow card for diving instead. FK Humenné's Sabri Dalayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Habanec in the 32nd minute of play. Sabri Dalayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Štefan Kišš in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Karol Pittner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Dalayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Kaliňák sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Štefan Kišš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Dalayer having to interfere. In the 45th minute Štefan Kišš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Dalayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pavol Kučera to make the kick off. FK Humenné's Sabri Dalayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FK Humenné from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislav Paliesek in the 56th minute of play forced FK Humenné's goalkeeper Sabri Dalayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klement Habanec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sabri Dalayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabri Dalayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislav Paliesek in the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Bretejovce defense, Peter Mandl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dávid Ančic. The Bretejovce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dávid Ančic should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FK Humenné fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bretejovce had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
