Peter Mandl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Marek Kovaľčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Helcmanovce FK's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Mandl came free, but Marek Kovaľčík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Pavol Kučera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Helcmanovce FK's Marek Kovaľčík was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peter Mandl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Kovaľčík having to interfere. Peter Mandl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Helcmanovce FK's Marek Mastiš got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Pavol Kučera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Kovaľčík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, FK Humenné was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matej Lipovský to maneuver through the defense. Marek Kovaľčík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Mandl in the 26th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Mandl couldn't finish the play. Pavol Kučera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pavol Kučera to strike the kick off in the second half. Pavol Kučera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Kovaľčík having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Pavol Kučera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th play minute Peter Mandl came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marek Kovaľčík. 2-2. After 72 played minutes Peter Mandl rounded Helcmanovce FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. If Viktor Čuntala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Peter Mandl came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FK Humenné fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Mandl couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Mandl got free with Marek Kovaľčík in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Helcmanovce FK's zone, Matej Lipovský stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Kovaľčík came out of the goal and Matej Lipovský tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Helcmanovce FK's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Kaliňák came free, but Marek Kovaľčík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavol Kučera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matej Lipovský who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Marek Kovaľčík when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Peter Mandl came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the FK Humenné fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Mandl couldn't finish the play. FK Humenné's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
