After 7 played minutes Machulince got a freekick which was hit by Antón Muranský. Svinica's Tomáš Wagner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ivo Ilavský but with some difficulty. Gabriel Želínsky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Peterka, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Stano Škultéty was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 15th minute Richard Peterka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Želínsky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislav Kajcer struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ivo Ilavský didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svinica. Machulince's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stano Škultéty 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ivo Ilavský took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stano Škultéty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Želínsky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Trenčan in the 40th minute of the match. Richard Peterka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gabriel Želínsky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Peter Trenčan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Želínsky. Svinica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Trenčan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Richard Peterka put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Želínsky. After the first half Machulince were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stano Škultéty made a kick off. Gabriel Želínsky made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Peterka in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes, Peter Demský mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machulince and the Svinica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Machulince was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Demský to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Stano Škultéty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Ilavský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
