Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Martin Mikuš made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Filip Knapík managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brutovce's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Knapík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Bačkor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslav Štetka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Eugen Bačkor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Bačkor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Knapík in the 7th minute of the match. FC Vrútky's Gejza Uhrík got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gejza Uhrík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ľubomír Palko having to interfere. Erik Grman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ľubomír Palko. Brutovce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eugen Bačkor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Knapík went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gejza Uhrík struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ľubomír Palko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Vrútky. The supporters of Brutovce booed when FC Vrútky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matúš Fecko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Mikuš succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Martin Mikuš was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. FC Vrútky's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filip Knapík to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Filip Knapík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Bačkor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Bačkor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Knapík, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Martin Mikuš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Miroslav Štetka came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Brutovce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Štetka couldn't finish the play. If Gejza Uhrík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brutovce's Matúš Kuba got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gejza Uhrík in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ľubomír Palko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miroslav Štetka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Miroslav Štetka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miroslav Štetka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eugen Bačkor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Filip Knapík reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eugen Bačkor. The goal made the score 1-2. Ľubomír Palko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gejza Uhrík in the 94th minute of play. The Brutovce supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brutovce would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
