If Róbert Trenčan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Fedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samo Kaňuk having to interfere. Martin Fedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rastislav Jarošík during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes JUNIORKA SLOVANA got a freekick which was hit by Rastislav Jarošík. Stano Zeman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Zelený, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of JUNIORKA SLOVANA booed when Mad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Delfín didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Fedor came free, but Samo Kaňuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to JUNIORKA SLOVANA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tomáš Schurger hit a great ball. After some careless play in the JUNIORKA SLOVANA defense, Martin Fedor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samo Kaňuk. The JUNIORKA SLOVANA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samo Kaňuk should have stopped the shot. 0-2 became the score in the 30th minute when Róbert Trenčan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Fedor made a kick off. Róbert Trenčan might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samo Kaňuk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Trenčan ran back to his position shaking his head. Jozef Zelený sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 65 minutes, Róbert Trenčan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbert Trenčan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Martin Fedor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samo Kaňuk was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Fedor in the 73rd minute of play forced JUNIORKA SLOVANA's goalkeeper Samo Kaňuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stano Zeman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Hrčka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Mad got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Delfín. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Fedor in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samo Kaňuk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samo Kaňuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Fedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The JUNIORKA SLOVANA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
