In the 4th minute Ignác Dreisig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Cuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes, Richard Ondáš mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoste and the FC Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. 7 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Pavol Móder broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hoste's Gabriel Baláž proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Hoste from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Ján Garaj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Baláž narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Richard Ondáš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Tibor Šmajda made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Baláž. Hoste's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Richard Cuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignác Dreisig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Ďurka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Cuper having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Martin Ďurka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hoste's Erik Tóth got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibor Šmajda got free with Gabriel Baláž in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Barcelona's Richard Cuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Ďurka in the 43rd minute of play. Gabriel Baláž showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ján Garaj in the 44th minute of the match. Ignác Dreisig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ján Garaj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Martin Ďurka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ignác Dreisig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoste's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignác Dreisig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Cuper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Cuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignác Dreisig, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gabriel Baláž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Šmajda in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ján Garaj put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Baláž. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tomáš Sopka hit a great ball. With his leg Richard Cuper managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Hoste's Martin Ďurka fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Tibor Šmajda came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Šmajda couldn't finish the play. Hoste's Gabriel Baláž played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibor Šmajda in the 81st minute of play. When Róbert Katriňák fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Róbert Katriňák a yellow card for diving instead. Róbert Katriňák hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Richard Cuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignác Dreisig, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Martin Ďurka struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Richard Cuper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoste.
