The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ján Bruchala showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Slabej charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Slabej the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Hajduk Split got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Slabej. Ján Bruchala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matúš Krak in the 13th minute of play. Ivan Handzuš hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Hajduk Split's Ján Bruchala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Závada in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute Jozef Gajdoš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Havran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Závada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Matúš Lovich put in a rough tackle. 33 minutes into the game, one of Hajduk Split:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Ján Bruchala, was totally fooled by BSC DEVILS's Gabriel Boškovič, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ivan Závada made the kick off in the second half. When Ivan Závada came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the BSC DEVILS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Závada couldn't finish the play. A collision led to BSC DEVILS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ľubomír Miženko hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, BSC DEVILS's Matúš Krak got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ján Bruchala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Závada, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ivan Závada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ján Bruchala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Peter Špaček notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hajduk Split's Ján Bruchala. Ján Bruchala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Špaček sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hajduk Split's Ján Bruchala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Závada in the 71st minute of play. If Peter Špaček had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Hajduk Split got a freekick which was hit by Dušan Petráš. Peter Špaček struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ján Bruchala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BSC DEVILS. Peter Špaček fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ján Bruchala having to interfere. Peter Špaček received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ján Bruchala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BSC DEVILS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
