Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ľubomír Podmanický took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ľubomír Podmanický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Ľupták having to interfere. Lubáš Jánošík charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lubáš Jánošík the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lubáš Jánošík kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Matej Laučík who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Marek Ľupták when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Meliata's Marek Ľupták got control of the ball when Matej Laučík tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Kasarda's late challenge caught a Podhorie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Kasarda helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Meliata getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Peter Kasarda hit a great ball. Štefan Hradský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregor Kohútik, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Miroslav Čontofalský, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Štefan Hradský was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Gregor Kohútik came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Meliata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregor Kohútik couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gregor Kohútik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meliata's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregor Kohútik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Štefan Hradský breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslav Čontofalský recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Štefan Hradský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor Kohútik in the 43rd minute of play. Štefan Hradský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslav Čontofalský, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Lukáš Horňák charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukáš Horňák the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Podhorie got a freekick which was hit by Lukáš Horňák. Andrej Špánik was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregor Kohútik to strike the kick off in the second half. Podhorie's Matej Laučík got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Meliata's goal looked a bit too open when Ľubomír Podmanický came free, but Marek Ľupták reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marek Ľupták showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matej Laučík, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Štefan Hradský showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Kohútik in the 63rd minute of the match.
