Móric Nvota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michal Krnáč's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Móric Nvota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Papp in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ján Omasta during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Lenartovce FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ján Omasta to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match, Michal Krnáč tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Móric Nvota saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Lenartovce FK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Peter Nemešány hit a great ball. Aurel Papp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Móric Nvota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Jakubov was the one to do the kick off. Andrej Déneš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marián Vendel having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Budkovce's Aurel Papp made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Móric Nvota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michal Krnáč might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Móric Nvota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michal Krnáč ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 minutes of play Lenartovce FK's Ján Omasta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 89th minute, Miroslav Koniarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Lenartovce FK's Andrej Déneš sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marián Vendel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
