After having played for 3 minutes, Viliam Vácval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Pezan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viliam Vácval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Opoj's Alojz Cesnek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viliam Vácval in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of FK Pezan booed when Opoj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miklos Penov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Opoj's Slavomir Gyure nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dušan Hejnus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Viliam Vácval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Radek Nedorost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FK Pezan's Antón Efler got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28thth minute of the game Viliam Vácval who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Opoj's Alojz Cesnek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alojz Cesnek made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Antón Efler sent off a good shot on target. Alojz Cesnek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viliam Vácval in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Opoj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Melicharek to maneuver through the defense. If Viliam Vácval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viliam Vácval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alojz Cesnek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alojz Cesnek made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Antón Efler sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viliam Vácval to make the kick off. Alojz Cesnek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viliam Vácval, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Opoj's goal looked a bit too open when Viliam Vácval came free, but Alojz Cesnek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Opoj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Pezan the free kick. Alojz Kovasevic hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Antón Efler came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FK Pezan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antón Efler couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FK Pezan had won after a very even match.
