The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomáš Orságh during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes FK Pezan got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Orságh. 4 minutes into the game, Peter Išták was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Pezan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vajnory FK the free kick. In the 4th minute, Peter Išták hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Michal Chaban fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vajnory FK's protests and gave Michal Chaban a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FK Pezan booed when Vajnory FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michal Chaban didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Alojz Paška hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antón Efler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Marek Kračún skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tibor Podracký sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Peter Išták hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vajnory FK's Tibor Podracký got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dušan Hejnus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Podracký, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Michal Chaban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antón Efler might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marek Kračún. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antón Efler ran back to his position shaking his head. Vladimír Šebo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vajnory FK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Matej Lukavský hit a great ball. When Antón Efler came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FK Pezan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antón Efler couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Peter Drabík sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Marek Kračún threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Peter Drabík this time. Filip Kadlec kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Podracký in the 41st minute of play forced FK Pezan's goalkeeper Dušan Hejnus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibor Podracký sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tibor Podracký came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Vajnory FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Podracký couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viliam Vácval to make the kick off. The supporters of FK Pezan booed when Vajnory FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamil Hreha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Antón Efler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Viliam Vácval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Kračún saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antón Efler in the 58th minute of play forced Vajnory FK's goalkeeper Marek Kračún to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viliam Vácval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Kračún having to interfere. Vajnory FK's Marek Kračún played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viliam Vácval in the 62nd minute of play. Matej Lukavský kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Tomáš Orságh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marek Kračún showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FK Pezan's Viliam Vácval got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Vajnory FK's Tibor Podracký sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Hejnus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Vajnory FK's Tibor Podracký ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dušan Hejnus. Dušan Hejnus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Dušan Hejnus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Podracký, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tibor Podracký was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Vajnory FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 0-2 became the score in the 94th minute when Michal Chaban elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vajnory FK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
