Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sampool FC's Vladimir Apač started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Stanislav Bukovinský notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sampool FC's Marek Revesz. Marek Revesz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th match minute, Sampool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Koštialik to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Smrečko to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Liverpool FC's Róbert Gallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marek Revesz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Sampool FC's Vladimir Apač slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Rašovský. That made the score 1-4 after 34 minutes of play. 37 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Apač came free, but Erik Rašovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Rašovský didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimir Apač went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Erik Rašovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Apač in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Ambróz Turčík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Sampool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambróz Turčík didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Stanislav Bukovinský managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislav Bukovinský was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Revesz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Sampool FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liverpool FC were winning 2-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ľubomír Paštrnák to make the kick off. The Liverpool FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Liverpool FC's Ľubomír Paštrnák looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ľubomír Paštrnák had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Rašovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimír Šafranka in the 59th minute of play. Marek Revesz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Rašovský came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Sampool FC's Vladimir Apač. But to his dismay, Vladimir Apač quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-6. After 81 minutes, Ivan Stohl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sampool FC and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liverpool FC's Ľubomír Paštrnák got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbert Gallo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sampool FC booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Džubák didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liverpool FC's Erik Rašovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Apač in the 94th minute of play.
