Lenart Ogrizek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bogomil Perger. Čatež NK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Danilo Alt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bogomil Perger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erli Pregrad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Čatež NK defense, Erli Pregrad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogomil Perger. The Čatež NK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogomil Perger should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Alt in the 31st minute of play forced Čatež NK's goalkeeper Bogomil Perger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 34 in the game by Erli Pregrad from a close distance when the talented Bogomil Perger managed to make a qualified save. Čatež NK's players were relieved. Erli Pregrad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bogomil Perger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demeter Perkič during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bogomil Perger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Alt in the 42nd minute of play. Remo Marković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Alt to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Egidio Čuden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogomil Perger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erli Pregrad might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogomil Perger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erli Pregrad ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erli Pregrad in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogomil Perger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Kobilje's Erli Pregrad in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Čatež NK's goalie prevented a goal. Danilo Alt might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogomil Perger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Alt ran back to his position shaking his head. Gal Denac might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nedeljko Košnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gal Denac ran back to his position shaking his head. When Egidio Čuden fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kobilje's protests and gave Egidio Čuden a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Kobilje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egidio Čuden to maneuver through the defense. Kobilje's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
