Rosando Krasnik started the match with the kick off. Narciz Ileršič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosando Krasnik in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Kidričevo FC's Đemal Retel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narciz Ileršič narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Đemal Retel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Kidričevo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luc Andrin came free, but Goražd Kocjančič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosando Krasnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Narciz Ileršič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Rosando Krasnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciz Ileršič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Ig's goalkeeper Narciz Ileršič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Đemal Retel. Narciz Ileršič made an important save on a dangerous shot by Đemal Retel in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikolaj Čadež to strike the kick off in the second half. Rosando Krasnik scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciz Ileršič, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Džan Bartol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goražd Kocjančič made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luc Andrin in the 65th minute. Narciz Ileršič came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Kidričevo FC's Rosando Krasnik. But to his dismay, Rosando Krasnik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Đemal Retel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Rosando Krasnik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciz Ileršič was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With an all-out effort, Ig's Goražd Kocjančič threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nikolaj Čadež, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cvetko Marko's late challenge caught a Ig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cvetko Marko helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosando Krasnik in the 87th minute of play forced Ig's goalkeeper Narciz Ileršič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Ig's goal looked a bit too open when Cvetko Marko came free, but Narciz Ileršič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luc Andrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Goražd Kocjančič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95thth minute of the game Nikolaj Čadež who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kidričevo FC's Goražd Kocjančič was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Kidričevo FC were the better team. Kidričevo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
