In the 3rdth minute of the game Franz Gulić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Železniki MNK's Christian Jančar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mirko Šiberle in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Jančar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Jančar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vehbija Car in the 6th minute of the match. Besir Krek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Jančar having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Meta Piškur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Železniki MNK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Meta Piškur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Železniki MNK booed when Vipava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Gulić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nino Karničar struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Andjelko Feguš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Železniki MNK. Vehbija Car fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Jančar having to interfere. If Vehbija Car had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Besir Krek in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Jančar saved Železniki MNK from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Mirko Šiberle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Besir Krek made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Karničar in the 58th minute of play forced Vipava's goalkeeper Andjelko Feguš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vehbija Car had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Vipava's Vehbija Car sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Jančar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Meta Piškur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andjelko Feguš having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Vipava's goal looked a bit too open when Nino Karničar came free, but Andjelko Feguš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Besir Krek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Christian Jančar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beno Remškar kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Vehbija Car managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vipava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vehbija Car was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nino Karničar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
