A collision led to Muta NK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Todor Vasič hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Florjan Tehovnik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kvirin Gselman was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Lino Verderber kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Inot Gutman fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Mitar Poteko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mitar Poteko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Dimitar Ivančič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edvard Bubnič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvard Bubnič stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dimitar Ivančič came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Muta NK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitar Ivančič couldn't finish the play. Dimitar Ivančič might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasko Žigon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dimitar Ivančič ran back to his position shaking his head. Todor Vasič struck a weak shot in the 58th minute.
