Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the game, FC Ciba's Žolt Hadžić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Črtomir Kaloper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Žolt Hadžić got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Črtomir Kaloper handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Olivij Koletič's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Črtomir Kaloper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Rosando Serdinšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erol Anžlovar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Stična booed when FC Ciba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Žolt Hadžić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maksimiljan Recko kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. FC Ciba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Venčeslav Čok in the 30th minute. Venčeslav Čok made a great header on FC Ciba's corner, it was just that Stična's Črtomir Kaloper managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 33rd minute of the match Luca Trobec shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Črtomir Kaloper showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stična fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! 41 minutes into the match, FC Ciba's goalkeeper Erol Anžlovar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mladen Planinšič. When Amon Čulk fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ciba's protests and gave Amon Čulk a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes FC Ciba got a freekick which was hit by Amon Čulk. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ciba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Janko Šalamun was slow to take the kick. During this time Stična's players had a chance to rest. Stična's Janko Šalamun was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Erol Anžlovar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half FC Ciba were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosando Serdinšek to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Čedo Pirc suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 54 minutes into the game, Zdenislav Dobrila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Ciba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stična the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Ciba's Zdenislav Dobrila got a free kick in the 55th minute. Stična's Črtomir Kaloper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žolt Hadžić in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of FC Ciba booed when Stična was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lado Branković didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Žolt Hadžić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ciba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Žolt Hadžić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Benedikt Škoberne fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ciba's protests and gave Benedikt Škoberne a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Benedikt Škoberne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mladen Planinšič in the 69th minute of play forced FC Ciba's goalkeeper Erol Anžlovar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Mladen Planinšič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erol Anžlovar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Ciba getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Etien Rangus hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Žolt Hadžić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Olivij Koletič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Žolt Hadžić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Črtomir Kaloper having to interfere. Mladen Planinšič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svetozar Širme in the 85th minute of play forced FC Ciba's goalkeeper Erol Anžlovar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olivij Koletič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Ciba's Erol Anžlovar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mladen Planinšič in the 92nd minute of play.
