The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alojz Prevodnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doris Pucihar having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Ardenko Kovač who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Podvelka ND's Bastian Volmut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bastian Volmut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ardenko Kovač in the 17th minute of the match. Komenda's Doris Pucihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zvonimir Cof in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Podvelka ND's Bastian Volmut got control of the ball when Theo Ćurčija tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ardenko Kovač in the 24th minute of play forced Podvelka ND's goalkeeper Bastian Volmut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ardenko Kovač sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Podvelka ND's Zvonimir Cof got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vane Tomažič charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vane Tomažič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Komenda's Vane Tomažič got a free kick in the 39th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Zvonimir Cof had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doris Pucihar. Komenda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zvonimir Cof was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Komenda players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Podvelka ND were winning 1-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alojz Prevodnik in the 58th minute of play forced Komenda's goalkeeper Doris Pucihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zvonimir Cof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theo Ćurčija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alojz Prevodnik came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Podvelka ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alojz Prevodnik couldn't finish the play. Doris Pucihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alojz Prevodnik in the 70th minute of the match. Zvonimir Cof struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Doris Pucihar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Podvelka ND. In the 74th minute, Florjan Prunk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doris Pucihar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Svetislav Koderman. 77 minutes in the game, Alojz Prevodnik fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Doris Pucihar having to interfere. The supporters of Podvelka ND booed when Komenda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Just Biček didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 81st minute when Alojz Prevodnik elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bastian Volmut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Ćurčija in the 86th minute of play. Alojz Prevodnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doris Pucihar having to interfere. Ardenko Kovač received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bastian Volmut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastian Volmut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Ćurčija in the 93rd minute of the match. Bastian Volmut came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Komenda's Theo Ćurčija. But to his dismay, Theo Ćurčija quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Komenda's Doris Pucihar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Komenda from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Podvelka ND had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
