Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Just Planovšek made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julij Burnić in the 2nd minute of play forced Novo mesto's goalkeeper Milovan Ivič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milovan Ivič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julij Burnić, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th match minute, Prebold NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadej Svatovšek to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Prebold NK's zone, Milanko Ahčin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferid Šoster came out of the goal and Milanko Ahčin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Prebold NK got a freekick which was hit by Sejad Vrečar. The crowd rose to their feet as Prebold NK's Julij Burnić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Milovan Ivič. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Julij Burnić had several of the Novo mesto's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Milovan Ivič as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Novo mesto's Milovan Ivič got control of the ball when Julij Burnić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Just Planovšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferid Šoster stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Just Planovšek's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Roberto Kašibović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prebold NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Kašibović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milovan Ivič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 46 minutes, Julij Burnić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prebold NK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julij Burnić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julij Burnić was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Prebold NK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Julij Burnić hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Julij Burnić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Novo mesto's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Kašibović came free, but Milovan Ivič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitomir Špiček lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Milovan Ivič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Kašibović in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Novo mesto's Stiven Est got a free kick in the 76th minute. Milanko Ahčin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ferid Šoster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
