Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Šoštanj ND's Avgust Kramžar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Dobje booed when Šoštanj ND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brando Franjčić didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes Šoštanj ND got a freekick which was hit by Irving Špegel. Suad Praznik acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 6th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jure Turšič. In the 13th minute, Manojla Mađarić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes, Jure Turšič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dobje and the Šoštanj ND players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jure Turšič kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ignac Koletič took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Klavdij Kainz. Dobje's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Klavdij Kainz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Žuraj in the 18th minute of play. After 22 played minutes, Šoštanj ND's Attila Pajsar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Klavdij Kainz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Šoštanj ND reached it. Sonny Deberšek's late challenge caught a Dobje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Deberšek helped the player get up and apologised. Suad Praznik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bore Mihalek in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Sonny Deberšek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Dobje's Bore Mihalek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Suad Praznik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Suad Praznik made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Manojla Mađarić sent off a good shot on target. Klavdij Kainz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avgust Kramžar, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Maxi Žuraj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Klavdij Kainz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
After a defensive mix-up in Dobje's zone, Avgust Kramžar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klavdij Kainz came out of the goal and Avgust Kramžar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dobje's Klavdij Kainz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avgust Kramžar in the 61st minute of play. Klavdij Kainz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avgust Kramžar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Avgust Kramžar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klavdij Kainz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dobje's Jure Turšič got a free kick in the 66th minute. Maxi Žuraj blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klavdij Kainz having to make a save. Lejs Kopač kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Šoštanj ND's Avgust Kramžar got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Manojla Mađarić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Avgust Kramžar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klavdij Kainz was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Šoštanj ND players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Dobje from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
