Ormož MNK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rino Kursar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 13 played minutes, Slovenske Konjice's Marij Klinar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Krištof Kuder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Slovenske Konjice reached it. Rino Kursar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kras Vrečar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Kristijan Švara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Ljubi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristijan Švara having to interfere. Krištof Kuder came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Slovenske Konjice's Matijaž Struna. But to his dismay, Matijaž Struna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Slovenske Konjice's Kristijan Švara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Slovenske Konjice from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Ormož MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Rino Kursar came free, but Krištof Kuder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krištof Kuder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rino Kursar in the 39th minute of the match. Rino Kursar might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krištof Kuder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rino Kursar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Matijaž Struna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kras Vrečar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristijan Švara having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kras Vrečar made the kick off in the second half. Sabit Kržin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matijaž Struna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Gabriel Zore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute of the match Narciz Šivak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristijan Švara skillfully saved the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Sabit Kržin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kristijan Švara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blagoje Furlan's late challenge caught a Ormož MNK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blagoje Furlan helped the player get up and apologised. Blagoje Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Matijaž Struna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krištof Kuder. After a defensive mix-up in Slovenske Konjice's zone, Sabit Kržin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristijan Švara came out of the goal and Sabit Kržin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Sabit Kržin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ormož MNK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabit Kržin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kras Vrečar might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristijan Švara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kras Vrečar ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Ormož MNK's zone, Matijaž Struna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krištof Kuder came out of the goal and Matijaž Struna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Ormož MNK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Slovenske Konjice's performance. The match ended with a win for Slovenske Konjice.
