With a little luck, Real Sostro CF's Ardenko Valenčič got control of the ball when Tit Plazl tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 41 played minutes Real Sostro CF got a freekick which was hit by Tjaž Sobočan. After having played for 44 minutes, Teo Špindler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sostro CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Špindler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bogomil Krapež fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Sostro CF's protests and gave Bogomil Krapež a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Bogomil Krapež hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Advan Karajica made a kick off. Real Sostro CF's Ardenko Valenčič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Advan Karajica in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Advan Karajica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardenko Valenčič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teo Špindler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Trbovlje FC got a freekick which was hit by Mel Kajzer. The supporters of Trbovlje FC booed when Real Sostro CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatko Šubelj didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Trbovlje FC's Tit Plazl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ardenko Valenčič made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 84 minutes into the match, Advan Karajica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ardenko Valenčič. Real Sostro CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Advan Karajica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Bogomil Krapež fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Črt Bajde having to interfere.
