Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rupert Korenak started the match with the kick off. Rupert Korenak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardenko Valenčič having to interfere. Tjaž Sobočan's late challenge caught a Begunje na Gorenjskem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tjaž Sobočan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Begunje na Gorenjskem. Božidar Šesek stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ardenko Valenčič. 0-1. Rupert Korenak took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ardenko Valenčič. Ardenko Valenčič dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Bogomil Krapež had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Safet Kašibović in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ardenko Valenčič saved Real Sostro CF from getting behind. Begunje na Gorenjskem's Iztok Štiberc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Špindler in the 21st minute of play. Teo Špindler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Iztok Štiberc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ožbe Prevodnik hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidko Gradin got free with Iztok Štiberc in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Begunje na Gorenjskem's goalkeeper Iztok Štiberc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tjaž Sobočan. Ardenko Valenčič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ožbe Prevodnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Begunje na Gorenjskem's Sandi Vusilović got a free kick in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teo Špindler made a kick off. Safet Kašibović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardenko Valenčič having to interfere. Velimir Lenarčič hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, one of Real Sostro CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Sostro CF. Ardenko Valenčič acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sandi Vusilović. After a rather tough play, Begunje na Gorenjskem's Velimir Lenarčič got a free kick in the 76th minute. Sandi Vusilović charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandi Vusilović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, one of Begunje na Gorenjskem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Begunje na Gorenjskem. Iztok Štiberc had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Vidko Gradin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zlatko Šubelj struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Iztok Štiberc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Sostro CF. In the 90th match minute, Real Sostro CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatko Šubelj to maneuver through the defense. Real Sostro CF's Teo Špindler got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Real Sostro CF lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
