The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rikardo Turk in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismail Papež saved StrazaTeam from getting behind. Celestin Purgar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Rikardo Turk took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ismail Papež to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of StrazaTeam booed when Rogatec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Metod Črepinšek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestin Purgar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, StrazaTeam's Suljo Vrbinc got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 55 minutes, Vojimir Raković mouthed his way into the referee's book. Rogatec's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
